Would anyone be interested in a carbon fibre or fibreglass bonnet for their 911? My fibreglasser is making the molds right now, which is a direct replacement for a factory unit, and visually identical.

Initially I was just making one for my track car, but would make sense to sell them if there's enough interest. I expect the price to be around £225 for GRP or £325 for carbon skinned. Pure carbon would cost alot more!

These would save about 10kgs weight over standard, and lower your centre of gravity. And if you wanted it, carbon would look pretty cool on a track car!

Any feedback or interest is appeciated, Mike

Great idea. The 911 really needs weight off the rear, though, so maybe an engine cover would be an idea, too?

Would consider making engine lids, but from what I've seen thats already available, aftermarket engine lids weigh more than the originals. - Rear bumpers could be an idea though.
