Hi,

I have just bought a second hand 2001 Boxster S. Its my first Porsche and has taken me about 8 months to find. Needless to say I am nervous but excited about it!

One problem I do have is that the previous owner has lost the faceplate for the CD Player/Radio CDR - 220. I would like the interior to retain its original look so rather than replace the CD Player I would like to buy one of these faceplates. My only requirement is to play CDs so I do not mind about not being able to listen to the radio.

The only place I have seen these faceplates for sale is on ebay and they are in America. Does anybody know where else I can get them? I heard somebody mention in a previous post about European Beckers that were available without the PORSCHE logo. This would be fine also. Will any faceplate fit my stereo or will I have compatibility issues?

I did search the forums and found some information but nothing that directly solved these issues so please be tolerant of a new person posting on your forums! I hope to get more information and advice from all the experts round here because there is no doubt - I have LOTS to learn! Thanks for ANY help!

The Porsche stuff is all made by Becker (apart from the Bose stuff!)

If you can't find a faceplate you could fit a Becker unit and it would still look original.

both head units in my possession next week and will let you know
the outcome.I will then have a CR22 to dispose of
