NOT a GT3 V's TT Topic (Well maybe a little bit ...)
Discussion
I HATE the usual 'V's' topics so I'm reluctant to start one .. Apologies to anyone who groaned as they read the title...
I've done a search and I don't think this has been covered before.
I'm not looking to start the usual rivalry, I've heard all the pro's and con's many times at this stage.
So my question is .... I'm noticing the base line pricing of both TT and GT3 are at a scrumy -50k ...
.... IN GENERAL , which one would have the lower maintenance and lower general running cost? .. I'm assuming I'm starting with say a 20k miles good condition car ,with plans for 80% road use 15% track use, with average annual mileage of 8k.
( The last 5% is a generous donation to all my local ditches/hedgerows and medians!!)

Wouldn't you rather join in one of the middle east threads?

Although I have absolutely no empirical evidence for it (nor direct experience of both), I'm willing to bet that the running costs are within a few percentage points of each other.
So, don't worry about the costs, choose which of the two fine cars suits you best.
Just consider whether you want the kayc slippers'n'cardy mobile or the real man's racer.

Since when have running costs ever figured in our decision to buy a car?
We may kid ourselves we do. We look into such things as the cost of a major service, brakes, tyres etc pre-purchase yet when we see the car in the flesh and get seduced by the dark side everything gets forgotten and we sign on the dotted line.
Ballcock- looking at your previous thread it seems you have ever so slightly fallen in love with a TT you spotted over the weekend. Put yourself out of your misery and go and buy one
