I took the Boxster into an indie today to get the pads and discs replaced and they did a great job. I'm certain this is coincidence, but when I collected the car the convertible roof is jammed on the driver side. The bodywork at the back that rises to accept the soft top is stuck, the motors are working and are raising the passenger side OK. I've had the roof up and down at least twice a day over the last 12 days with no hint of a problem.

Has anybody had this happen previously? Perhaps you could point me in the direction of some hints/tips. It's going to back into the indie on Friday and I'd like to e-mail them some links to help them out. I've found some good stuff on renntech already.

At least the weather has taken a turn for the worst and I don't feel too bad about not being able to go topless

Daft question, but have you pulled the roof handle right back. I had a problem with my old Boxster and it has already happened with the current car, whereby I wasn't pulling the handle back enough.

Thnaks for the suggestion, I'm sure that I did (the guys at the garage also tried a few times) but no doubt I'll give it a go again in the morning as well!
