What is the worse Porsche colour comb you have seen?
Discussion
I have spotted a couple of cars over the last few weeks that have got me thinking and I would be interested in all your thoughts on the same subject.
I know there is a large opinion against savanna leather etc but what is the most putrid colour combo you have seen on a Porsche?
I was at my OPC a few weeks ago and there was an 997 S Cab awaiting delivery. The colour was "special order" and basically could best be described as tangarrene orange.
When speaking to the service dept they advised that the colour had been specially ordered by the customer. Apparantely the new owners first car had been an orange coloured Beetle and when finally being able to afford a porsche he decided to hark back to his youth and go for the same colour again. It seems the OPC even had to ring VW to get the paint codes. Fortunately he was sensible enough to go for black leather!
When I was driving home last night I also saw a very early Boxster. The colour looked aubergine and, using the words of one J Clarkson esq when describing a similarly coloured M6, likened it to the colour of a vets forearm..... it was awful!
For the record I drive a very boring seal grey metalic C2 with black leather.......along with half of the 996 driving publc

930 Flatnose (yes a proper one) in wait for it............
Metallic pink............. with
dark green and light green Ferrari daytona style seats.
Original car was baltic blue with cream leather and was repainted to the above horrendous colours for the owners wife to match her favourite outfit.
Car since repainted/re-upholstered back to original.
Real multi-coloured yawn territory

The worst combo is silver with black

on the other hand... I saw a 'Polar Silver' Boxster with Navy Blue seats and roof; it looked so right, just perfect, and for some unfathomable reason it was the first time I have seen a particular colour make the boxster look like it is heading in one direction.

Yes I was at Specialist Cars today - he's gonna struggle to shift that one - you're gonna really have to want it!
Went to see one of his 993's in Vesuvius - nice car but am not convinced a 997 GT3 would wear that colour well?!

god, that is hideous
I find those pastel yelllows or blues seen on very early Boxsters are awful, interior wise anything with wood, savannah or metropole is a no-no for me

That's terrible.
I could live with the colours - but not the 4WD.
