997 FACELIFT

Hiya
Having had my new 997 S (replaced a 996 facelift) about 8 months now
am gutted to know that a FACELIFT version has been spotted on Road Test in the USA. New Double bulb Xenons, new LED rear lights, new front Dam and apparently 20 BHP more! Having skint myself back in January now find out that next year (probable) i'm on the old car...great!

Must be a bummer. Seems pretty early for a facelift too.

According to Autocar who ran the facelift story a couple of weeks ago, it has been suggested the 997 facelift will not be released for at least a couple of years

yeah thats what I read....seems way too early to be
testing then? The new front bumper was on the car so already
moulded ....seems daft that end of 2004 they didnt think of LED
brake lights...BMW have had them out for a couple of years!

Just another way for the Porsche marketing machine to try and achieve sales of 100,000 cars per annum that they so dearly crave.

It is sh$te as they are diluting the brands image ........
