why not just get the OEM one - sounds lovely

approx £850 from specialists and excluding dash button

Just what I have been wanting to know. My 2001 S is excellent but would be far more enjoyable with a sports exhaust. I've twice been out in dealer demonstrators and on both occasions they have had the sports exhaust fitted. The Porsche unit is very expensive. Can anyone recommend a good alternative. Also do you think I will have MOT problems?

Had a custom made Janspeed system and free-flow cats (fited at their factory) for two years now. Built from heavier guage s/s than normal systems it has all but eliminated the "resonance/booming" that aftermarket systems seem to have.
The cats apparently add to the aural delights - foot down at around 3krpm and it really howls, at idle it has a lovely deep burble. Suits the character of the car absolutely. A liitle more responsive to the throttle as well.

When new I was a dubious of the sound, very loud and harsh - seems to have mellowed with time. Well worth the £1k costs

Stupid question really - but does adding an "after-market" sports exhaust invalidate an OPC warranty?
