996 cab stereo ideas ????

what have most people done ??

so far i have changed the head unit for a jvc dvd/cd/mp4 player with ipod connection which i love but just feel it needs a little more low down bass, ive listened to a friends bose system in his coupe and its fantastic was the bose a option in the cab if so can i just buy the bose sub and plumb in it ???

any ideas would be greatfull

Hi there

If you went down the porsche route you would need the amplifier which is fibre optic linked to head unit and subwoofer in back or passenger footwell...

Probably best off with hard wired amp like an alpine or kenwood one with the subwoofer....

Think it was an option but i know it definitley was on turbo model cab plus c4s cab

You need a sub somewhere tho get the any real benefit.

i've had a small 6" fitted in the front pass footwell, although i'm considering fitting 2 x pioneer SW (shallow mount) subs in place of the rear speakers.
