Thinking of entering Porker ownership. Have a decent budget, enough for a 993 Turbo or 996 C4. Sadly not a GT3.

What do I need to know ?

That you can get a 993RS for the same money?

Seriously, the 993 and 996 are poles apart. First thing is to drive both cars, and then decide which you prefer.

Then, trawl through PH for anything that mentions either model. You'll find ownership experiences, recommended options, that kind of thing.

Finally, find a car and get it inspected (if not from an OPC with a decade's worth of warranty).
