Argh!!! What is the f:censored:g point?
Discussion
Tried to go to work this morning and then noticed that the window on my 928GT was smashed and the stereo stollen. Then it occured to me that my girlfirend's car - a 928S2 5spd might have also been a target. Guess what - the rear quarter window was smashed and the stereo gone too! It really makes my blood boil! The Police took a statement, gave me a crime reference number and said that they can't do much more...
I ask myself - What is the f
g point of working my arse off in the City - if I cannot enjoy the fruits of my labour? We live in Greenwich, on a nice street, with nice neighbours and thus we pay a premium for it. I like my cars and was considering buying a 911 Turbo 2 as I wanted something different. Now I am scared to leave any of my cars unattended because some mindless f
ing chav/junkie has decided to make £20 by nicking my stereo, let alone buying another Porsche for the "collection".
Burn the f
g lot of them! Just for your FYI, Greenwich Council spent 2/3 of its budget on benefits last year. And yes, my council tax went up again this year, so the stereo nicking scum can have double glazing in their council house. Arghhh!
P.S. It is all my fault for not living in Woolich, claiming benefits and shopping at Netto...

And if you catch the buggers and give them a good slapping, your the bad guy, no doubt the little scroats actions will affect your car insurance as well,

I am not claiming for the stereos, just for door window on my GT - apparently it does not affect my "no claims" or premium for next year. The S2 is having a s/h quarter glass fitted by 928 specialist in Stroud as we speak...
You are right - have I cought the scrotes - I would not have been able to do anything. The Police would have probably cautioned them...

No, they would have sent them on a banger racing course because they are deprived.
They should have their hands hacked off with blunt axes.

Sorry, I forgot about the "Eddie Jordan Experience"! Clearly I have misspent my youth - trying to study and all that... LOL! Oh, the irony!

Quite.
I also work my balls off in the City. I pay a fortune in rent and £30,000 a year in tax. I just about have enough cash to eat out once a week as a treat.
My girlfriend also works full time.
Opposite our apartments are brand new "social housing" full of dole scrounging scum and immigrants. They are in the pub every night and all have cars.
We sometimes wonder whether we should just give up work and live on benfits. Seems like quite a nice life to me. Free flat, free beer, no stress.

I reckon we should form a club - my tax last year was pretty similar... Gf is in a full time job in the oil/gas sector. Imagine my astonishment when I was told that Greenwich Council favors council tennants when it considers applications for garages. FFS, not only I subsidize their housing, but I also help keep their "motas" safe, innit! whilst my Porsches get broken into...

yeah what the feck is that all about? Why is it suddenly 'a terrible shame' that these kids are all knicking and ASBOing, so they get a TV show training course to learn how to become mechanics? Why don't we have a TV show where nice decent kids who 'hey here's an idea' don't commit crime get sent on a training course to become mechanics, and the scumbag theives can be set up as obstacles for them to 'try not to run over' at the end of it. (Bonus points if they do of course) Social tirade here..
but every year the private garages get broken into in the weeks the kids go on school holidays where I live. (just up the road from you in Greenwich) Bet if you run the feckers over the police would.. 'be able to do something'... that's arrest you!
Hi all,
I was just coming onto the porsche section to ask about buying an 80's 911 as I was thinking of a change now I've sold the TVR. I'll post that another time having seen this thread.
My sincere sympathies for the stereo incidents.
Where I live, the pond life have taken the hump with my mrs' little runaround, opting to write rude words in the paintwork with a stone as they perceive it to be a lousy car. However, the reason I have to pay for a garage a 10 minute walk away is that if I park the decent one out there they will vandalise it or nick it because I'm flash and clearly loaded (nothing to do with saving up for something decent).
Also the same pond life have a bigger nicer house than me just over the road thanks to Tony and Gordon. Why do we bother?
Boy is it good to rant

God it makes me f'ing sick too.. I too live in London and also work my balls off in the City. I've now resorted to renting a secure underground parking space.. It's the only way.. I now have to pay a further premium to have a nice car just to keep it out of sight from the low-lives. They've won
got a mate who used to live in between woolwich / greenwich and owns an elise. came out in the morning to see the front clam on his elise butchered with a screwdriver, white paint poured all over the car - fortunately it was emulsion - and the fuel filler cap nicked. They were obviously
ing thick / lacked imagination / ran out of paint as they didn't pour any down the fuel filler neck. They also broke into the garage next to where the elise was parked where a nice old elan lived - they trashed that and nicked the stereo for good measure.
There are some real scum around and I really wouldn't like to be held responsible for the harm I would cause someone who I caught damaging my property.
What really gets my friggin goat is that it is all apparently society's fault and these peoples actions are condoned by the fact they are less privileged, held back, disenchanted etc etc. We are living in a blame culture where there is always somebody other than the person themself at fault - there is no accountability.

Spent last Sunday fitting a new door to my Gf's daughters first car and hoovering out the glass from the side window. Understandably the poor girl was devastated.
All caused by some c
s who threw a dining chair
through the side window.
I think though we shouldn't be too hard on them as they are generally just bored teenagers looking for a high. They just need a little training - preferably with a fekin' baseball bat.

Don't let the f**k**s win. Get some camera's up that record to a hard disc so next time you know who's fingers arms and legs deserve to be broken. The idiots that are remotely clued up will not touch your car if they think they are on camera and the others, well they get their just rewards.
