996 C2 airbox, drilling and so called "orange plug mod"

Just curious to see if anyone has drilled holes in a 996 airbox to help with induction noise (not for power gains). I understand that it was commonly done on 993, but couldn't find any reference to 996 models. Also does anyone have any information abut this Orange plug mod to block off the expansion tube from the airbox? Apparantly increases noise a bit with next to no cost or problems with engine. Any idea where to buy said orange plugs or does anyone have one spare for exchange for a few beer tokens?

Ive got one rumplestiltskin on here kindly sent me one, not fitted it though . . . . . ill try and remember to get the garage to fit it next time im at the local independant.
