Tyre recommendation
Discussion
Morning Guys & Girls,
A friend of mine has a Boxster S on a 02 plate. He needs some new tyres, rear first, then some fronts not long after! What do you lot use/reccommend etc....Mich / Pirelli / Yoko / Bridgestone etc. He has 18' split rims from Porsche, but not sure on exact size.
Thanks in advance,
Reeso

I have Dunlop SP9090 No (porsche approved) on all 4 corners. Rears are soon to be in need of changing and the front not long after, same as your mate.
Wheels are the same 18" splits (sports designe) Michelins are loads more expensive than all the other makes. Can't say that I am 100% happy with the Dunlpos and dont give me much confidence. But what to change to is the question. Pirrelli / GO FOR IT AND GET SOME PILOT SPORTS.
Tyres are always a good topic to debate.
If its bike tyres Metzeler Racetec's brilliant.

Thanks for the help guys. He curently has Conti's sport contact, as fitted by the dealer. Quite good by all accounts and as he gets through 2 rears to a front, he is going to get another set of the sport contacts as there is 4mm of tread left on the fronts. Then it might be off to Pirelli / mich's.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
