If any one could offer advice?
A friend of mine has a 964 non aircon model and has asked whether an effective aircon system can be retro-fitted to the car? Either the official Porsche one that came fitted to that generation or an after market supplier.
If somebody has any ideas or can point me in the direction of a posting if this topic has been brought up before, I'd very much appreciate it.

If not done as a DIY it's likely to be very expensive as there's a compressor in the engine compartment, the evaporator and expansion valve behind the fuel tank and the condensor in the left front wheel wheel plus associated plumbing and wiring. If your mate was able to buy a wreck with AC and convert it himself the expense might be reasonable but it would be an awful lot of work. And it's unlikely to add comensurate value. If he wants AC in a 964 he probably ought to look for one that's already got it.
