Help!

Does any one know where i can get one of these signs for my garage?

I keep seeing them around but need to know where to purchase said article!

I'm not the Porsche jacket/cap/keyring/sunglasses/shirt type you see, but i'd love some bits to hang in my car's bedroom...

Thanks in advance.

How about I get you a sign that says 911RS parking only, that would then solve your 993RS vs 993Turb dilema

Give Automotion in the states a try for ya sign.

Alternatively "high Performance 911s Only".

Remember Turbo's are quicker as mentioned previously. When you're a kid dreaming about one day owning a porsche you don't think I want one of the lowest deprciating 911's. Do you? No, you think I want one of the fastest cars they've ever built. End of Story.

I will not stand for Domster and Iguana brainwashing PHers.

New Mantra:

RS's are fun but Turbos are faster....

Note - Even once you agree with the above statement, respect must still be given to Melv's RS Cup "Evolution"

New Mantra part 2- RS's are fun but Turbos are faster.... except that (on 996Ts) electronics sort everything out for you- rather than driver skill and Turbos don't have one of the most intoxicating engine notes heard outside of Maranello.

Your additions will never catch on, they make the mantra too long.

On a serious note the PSM can be turned off, but when hooning, the 4WD solves most of the problems, PSM normally only kicks in when you're taking the piss out of Isaac Newton on the Braking sideways issue.

The exhaust noise is an interesting issue in that Porsche clearly believe they can sell more cars with the current set up than if the vehicle was louder, ie even with the Eurobollox regulation they could make the cars louder. However as Lee77 demonstrated with his car the matter is easily rectified should it be troubling you.

I think Rich1231 had a chat with Porsche GB who confirmed that aftermarket exhausts would not affect the warranty on a turbo. Indeed my own brother was at an OPC yesterday enquiring about 996tt, wanting a used one with the X50 upgrade, he was advised there were not many bargain X50's in the network but they could do a good deal on a standard car, the salesman then mentioned if he wanted more power there are aftermarket "outfits" who can up the power on the cars.

PS - Am I correct in thinking you can now buy a 993tt for slightly less than a 993RS?

I would say that the prices for a Turbo are virtually identical to an RS, year for yearl, mileage for mileage and RHD/LHD for RHD/LHD.

However, there are more Turbos about (especially in Germany) and some have much higher miles or accident damage, so the 'dog factor' has made the Turbo seem even cheaper as a model - simply because one or two abused examples are being given away for 25-29k on mobile.de

I would say it's a straight economic choice at the moment. You have only lost out if you paid 90k for a new Turbo when you could have spent 70k on a new RS.

Ahh its not just the quantity of noise Daz its the quality. Turbo'd pork may be swifter than Pegasus on LSD but she dont sound like the yowl of high reving normilly aspirated pork, which is akin to an opera singer screaming at high pitch and rather vocally, while she is ritually 'serviced' by Marco the friendly window cleaner.

I'm still not entirely sure what 'LOL' means but I'll wager it's appropriate here!
