986S PSE, confirmation its the best?
Discussion
Yes another exhaust topic?!
I have owned my 986S for just over 3 years and looks like i might keep it a while longer so am thinking of upgrading the exhaust. After searching PH there are lots of positive feedback on the PSE, so I looked up the essential styling web site to check out some prices and noticed they also did a janspeed system. They claimed this was louder and gave approx 12hp extra (not alot but as the tesco motto says...
) and ofcourse cheaper. Anyone had experience of the Janspeed, I dont want it to sound like a escort with a bucket exhaust but I dont want to wonder why I spent the grand getting it fitted due to not being different enough (having to 'big it up' alot at the mo so I can get clearance from the wife who cant figuare out why I am replacing a part that has not broken).
So, dont suppose we have any one on PH who has a 986 with a PSE, or Janspeed, that I could listen to, I live in the Suffolk area and will drive to you to hear it, I know there are sound bites but you really cant get a good idea from the silly speakers in a lap top!!

I'm always suspicious of exhaust makers claims of HP increases.
Porsche make no power increase claims although the PSE may release a few more horses, the main advantage is the fruitier noise. Also think the PSE adds to the looks of the arse, assuming yours is non-facelift and so its the gatling gun tips.
Can less back pressure really add 12hp to a 250/260bhp car?
