A good mate of mine works as an equity research analyst for a big city investment bank covering the automotive sector (nice job if you can get it..).
During a meeting (boozy lunch..) with some Porsche executives one of them mentioned that Porsche was approached by a wealthy Middle Eastern who enquired about the possibility of Porsche supplying a 997GT3 with a Tip box for his wife. Apparently she loves Porsches but can't drive a manual. After much debate Porsche decided this was not a man to turn down (apparently he's a bit of a collector...) and they've given the go ahead to engineer/build it. Wonder how much that cost/what it's like to drive??
Reminds me of when Ferrari specially engineered one RHD F40 for the Sultain of Brunei.
