997TT vs. 997GT3 video
Discussion
Excellent - I missed that on TV, and it's one of the first Germaning motoring journalism articles that ever made me laugh out loud. For those that don't speak German, there was no conclusion - one guy is pro-GT3, the other pre-TT. What's more interesting is where on Earth they managed to find a manual 997TT. It was mentioned that the GT3 will be limited to 900 examples per year - is that true?

That figure has been quoted several times since the launch earlier this year, and that may include RSs. I think it equates to about 140 cars per annum for the UK.
However, if the new GT3 is as good as early reports suggest, and it really is a viable regular road car, then demand will definitely outstrip supply.
along a similar vein is this

....in which case I'd be stunned if Porsche limited supply to just 900 a year. I'd expect the goalposts to move somewhat if demand is sufficient. I had heard the 900 figure once or twice, but it was never elaborated on to the extent that I was sure what it referred to. I had the impression that it left room for manouevre (i.e 900 GT3s becomes 900 GT3s plus extra RSs, becomes 900 LHD GT3s plus RSs plus RHD cars, becomes 900 LHD GT3s for Europe plus LHD GT3s for elsewhere plus RSs plus RHD cars etc). Not forgetting the various Cup cars. If Wiedeking missed a chance to pull our trousers down on a few extra GT3s if they were needed, I'd be gobsmacked.
