Some may remember that recently some young men decided to re-design my car bonet.

Well i dont really like with all the new lines in so have decided to have put back to its original state. Problem is the body shop guy said they have dented the A frame and no matter what he does I will not be happy with it and keep asking him to do something about it.

He has suggested getting another bonet and respraying it. I have tried 968uk website and Porsch aparts(who have one but it also has dents). Just wondered if anyone knew of one somewhere?????

thanks

Could you get a fibreglass one?
Imagine they wouldn't be too expensive, and you'd save a few kg's.

Or you could get one of those bangin' transparent ones that the boy racers get for their Novas. You'd be the envy of every 17 year old male in the country!

What i was thinking of doing was supercharging it, I need to ask the guy on this forum who does the supercharge if they would need scoops in the bonnet. If so i might as well wait till im super charging it.

You could try Craig at GT1 in Chertsey 01932 569911 (tell him Julian with the 993 cab recomended him), imho they are about the best and most flexible indy is the south east.

If any one could do it then they should be able to do it and I trust them with my cars.

Looks like £180. Another £50 should have it sprayed for you. Think it's what I'd go for rather than one from scrap yard.

Im having to pay in the region of £300 for cash to have it sprayed. Very Interested in the SC now. God Damn them for jumping on my bonnet!

Really? I've never actually had something sprayed, but was lead to believe it was quite straight forward. I was also thinking it would be very easy to prep compared to a pannel on a car, so guessed it would be cheap. £300 sounds a lot though.

Do fibreglass ones actually fit onto the hinges etc - I always thought they sat on pins as they're usually used on race cars for better access & less weight?
