boxster S 295bhp vs 280bhp

Had a 3.4 for the day last week. The 3.4 is considerably better. Much more grunt than you would expect from the figures.
However my OPC thinks 11k depreciation in a year is fair so I won't be changing.

A business friend of mine has an 05 987'S', and he drove the '07 model, albeit in London, last week.

He said that he was surprised that he couldn't detect all that much difference. Apparently, it picked up a bit better at low speed, but overall it felt fairly similar.

I met a brand new one on the autobahn outside frankfurt a month ago, and had he was absolutely flying.

I pulled in to let him past thinking he was a turbo. I was cruising at 240kmh, and he went past really quickly. I was amazed that it was a boxster, and also his exhausts were glowing from the inside.

I pulled back out and acclerated to match his speed, when i did i looked down and we were travelling at 275kmh...

Then he pulls in but is still nailed, and i passed him, but honestly not as fast as i thought i would given the difference in bhp.

Anyway, the point of my post is that i have driven the 280bhp boxster and i dont think it would have done that, i was really impressed by the new car and thumbs up were exchanged too

3.2S boxster really lacked torque for me. Not driven a 3.4 yet, but would think that would be the main improvement.

15bhp is a 5% increase - only just noticeable I would guess. Worth it just to annoy Cayman S buyers and more power is always welcome of course

what is torque peak/curve difference?
