I noticed their quoted price. I thought I read somewhere that the price would be about £72k ie £15k less than a turbo.

Autocar and Car also have reviews of the new GT3. Autocar really liked it, saying it was the best 911 ever.
Shame about the waiting list for them, because I want one

the autoexpress price is wrong.....it is 72000 pounds but they were quoting a price including the 'mad' brakes.

Apparently there are some unsold still so when could you expect delivery if you ordered one today?

I rang about 10 of the dealers and most of them still dont know the allocation that they are getting and therefore wont promise that you will be able to get one at all.
I think you will be more than just lucky if you could get a car in 2003 if you ordered now, or according to quite a few of the dealers even in 2004.
So I reckon 18-24 months if there is the available cars.

I just read the review and Rhorlic commentary in the latest EVO and certainly, this sounds like quite the most spiffing 'real world' (normally breathing) piglet to date.

Indeed, compared to the upcoming (and undeniably orgasmic) 360 Stradale, it seems like uncommon fine value: the extra 600 RPM at the upper echelons of the tacho's reach delivering just the extra oomph it's predecessor lacked whilst consolidating an already intoxicating, race-like howl from astern.

Just one issue, if I may: the rear spoiler was designed by me - when I was 4 - it is bloody horrendous and ruins an otherwise superbly aerodynamic form.

Let's have some rear spoiler options, please!

I have to agree with Derestrictor here, the new spoiler looks crap.
Much preferred the old GT3 spoiler.
Why couldnt the new one have a GT2 spoiler instead of the plank of wood that it has?

The new spoiler looked like it was designed by Gerry Anderson or lifted directly from Thunderbird 2.

The previous curved GT3 spoiler looked weird to me at first but is now undeniably a classic...

on the german DSF satellite channel there was a 5 minute report on it, and shots of a likely looking young man chucking it round corners.

Absolutely brilliant. The mutts nutts. Mega-awesome. Incredible chassis poise. Infinitely chuckable.

I think it could well be the best 911 ever.

I can't make VW 09.03., but perhaps some other meeting. If someone has a Videorecorder and TV set I'll bring the video.
