Can anyone on here recommend a good car wash somewhere in SW3, SW7 or SW1? The people I used to go to have recently disappeared - literally - and I would appreciate any recommendations.

Many thanks

There's a place in the mews behind Baden Powell House at the junction of Cromwell Road and Queen's Gate that I use. They do a reasonable job. HTH

That's the one I used to go to as I live around the corner - but looks like either the Home Office or the HSE got the better of them...

Burger! I haven't been in there for a while so that's a bummer. I often wondered if they were operating with planning permission. Let me know if you find somewhere then.

Just a couple of thoughts. Don't know if it is still there but there used to be one in the old petrol station round the corner from the Bristol Cars showroom on Kensington High Street as you go up towards White City. There are also a bunch that clean cars in the Homebase car park in Warwick Road. Whether either can be trusted with pork is another matter!

I'll check again. From memory I believe that the old petrol station is currently under development into something else... The place on Warwick road I haven't come across yet. I would not have thought this to be difficult, but maybe it is....

If nothing else helps I may have to buy a sponge...?

...found one!!! They're very close just South of Hyde Park near the invisible border to Kensington Gardens, in an appartment block named "Kingston House North" and the place is called Posh Wash Car Valeting. Had my car done there yesterday, was surrounded by other Porsches and all seemed ok so I would tend to recommend them. And they charge even less then the guys in the mews of Cromwell road used to before they disappeared.

Good!

I always use the guys at the end of the New Kings Road on the left (under the railway arches) - just before it joins the Fulham Palace Road.

They do a cracking job, take about 5 minutes and charge £6 for outside only. You don't have to step out of the comfort of your pride and joy.

Never been that impressed with those guys, eg not doing the wheels properly and charge extra for them too. Prefer the Aurora guys on Putney Bridge Road but too far out maybe.
