Hi,

Has anyone out there carried out a LHD to RHD conversion on a Porsche 944 (85 Turbo to be precise)

Any help guidance greatly appreciated.

Regards

from my memory of my 924 the shell was different LHD - RHD so I'd guess its hard.

But why would you want to? You would spend money to devalue your car. If for some reason it really bothers you sell it and buy a RHD.

LHD is easy to get the hang of, not worth converting.

You're right the car was easy to get used to, and will be great when I go to Le Mans next summer. I think my girl friend seems more worried than me due to her position in the passenger seat!!!

Any ideas what a good condition 85, 90k LHD 944 would be worth?

In really good condition you've got to be looking at a maximum of £1500 for a left hooker if its early dash, maybe a bit more if its an oval dash. You could pick up an equivalent RHD for maybe a £1000 more. Definitely not worth the hassle of converting a car in this price range (all in my humble opinion )

Bit pessimistic, for the turbos I have seen.

Notwithstanding, I really wouldn't take this on. Sell it and buy RHD if you must have RHD.
