GT3-SPLIT RIMS REFURB OR REPLACE.

following on from my first question to the forum earlier today, the second point I wanted to ask you guys was this..
Ive got a fairiy good set of gt3 split rims, no kerbing marks, no corrosion that occurs on the join line and no pitting
on the alloy face, but the wheel carrier looks really nasty. I dont know wether to just part-ex the alloys for a set of
turbo alloys (reps) or just get the wheel carriers refurbed or replaced. any ideas on costs to do this and where in south east kent it can be done. your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

By wheel carrier do you mean the centre part of the wheel(the spokes)? If so then one option is to dismantle the wheels yourself and get the centre's cleaned and powder coated. I did this to a set just recently only I went the whole hog and got the rims anodised as well. This cost c £240 in total. However with the benefit of hindsight, after getting the rims bead blasted I should have had them polished before getting them anodised. That would have raised the whole cost to about £300 cash. Someone on here (Spencer, can't remember his PH name) had his wheels done at Lepson's (who i think are in Gillingham) and they did a great job.
