Re: No.2

Sounds like they took weights off to refurb the wheels and did'nt re-balance after or it could be a loose wheel! Check your nuts (after you have finished trimming your beard).

This thread contains no mention of depreciation, GT3 v TT, dealer margins, RMS or buying a porker to get laid....

I've got me 2 problems:

1. I replaced the driver side brake light bulb a few weeks back (not sure how long it had been out) and I've now gone through 2 replacements that have been fitted, did work, then went pop. Is this because I bought cheapos from Halfords or do I have a slightly more sinister problem?

2. Recently had my alloys refurbed. Since collecting the car it's got a fairly pronounced wobble at about 80 and another when braking (at pretty much all speeds). I'm a bit of a retard and don't really even know the difference between alignment and balancing but as as 993 owner I've done all I can i.e. same number of horse brasses down both sides, beard trimmed symmetrically (thought I'd get it in first). So..aligment, balancing or something else?

As ever all assistance much appreciated.
Have you tried a new set of cross-ply's?laugh

If it is nt as simple as rebalancing ............. why did they need refurbinbg ? Just a little graze, maybe light corrosion? how were they refurbed , powdercoating can cuase a few probs and rebuilding big graunches does nt help balance much ..............

Enough with the beard jokes (i don't trim mine at all, i use it as a scarf to match my anorak) - first things first, go to a reputable tyre establishment and get all four wheels balanced.

They were in a right mess..very corroded especially on the 'insides' and around the valves. They were blasted back to the core to start with.

Can you see any weights at all on the rims?
