PASM for Cayman S?
Discussion
Just about to order a new Cayman S and need to decide on the final spec.
Can anyone give advice on the real world useability of PASM? Is it a must have option?
I plan to use this car everyday so need comfort as well as performance.
Any advice on choosing accessories would be appreciated.

General consensus on PASM is that the two settings are either side of the non PASM version, if you catch my drift. My car has PASM and I find the everyday ride with PASM off excellent and the functionality of the PASM excellent when switched on, especially with the Sports Chrono pack as well
You'd best drive a car with and without the PASM system and make your own mind up. Also try the sports seats as well as I have them after I found them to be much better than the standard ones. I've done quite a few long journeys in the car and always get out without any back issues or discomfort.

If I had £1000 to spend on just one option, it would be PASM.
For me, it's a must have. Absolutely brilliant. The missus likes the luxury feel and I like teeth rattling out firmness - having both at the touch of a button is a fantastic concept that really works.
Note that even switched off / in 'normal' mode it's smoother than without the option as well as when switched on / in 'sports' mode it's firmer than without the option. I borrowed a Cayman without the option for a week and really noticed it wasn't there (ie. driving around town it was firmer than mine switched off)
We use the car for a lot of touring (see 'European jaunt' on my site) and also for Nurburgring and (with this new insurance policy) track days. It's great.
Note my car has 19" wheels - characteristics may change on the smaller wheels.
PS. Options I missed that I would like if choosing again: Cruise control, Sports pack, short shift.
