This may sound an odd question, but is it possible (& straightforward) to remove the rear wing from a (standard) 996 that has been fitted with a GT3 wing and return to the regular pop up one ? I'm looking to buy a 996 and have discounted all the ones with the big wings that I don't fancy. It just occurred to me if they simply unbolt, then I could choose from a wider range.

Complete new boot lid i would say, as you will need the mechanicals that lift the spoiler etc,....

Doubt they are cheap either...
