Need a 996 GT3
Discussion
ALright all,
Im gagging for a bit of gt3 action... but i want to spend as little as possible so i can afford a bit more track budget. So id be looking at LHD early mk1's as being the cheapest car??? Ive had a quick trawl through the classifieds but couldnt see any LHD. IS there much of a price difference or is the sub 40k gt3 unheard of?

Yup, looks like it to me too!
Sell everything you own until you get enough together to spend a bit more but definitely get one.
40k for a LHD compared to 45ish for a RHD with less miles. I know people say LHD is better for track work but if you're anything like me you won't be able to resist taking it on road trips where RHD would be better. Plus, rightly or not I think RHD will be easier to sell on.
Whatever you do, you won't regret it.
Cheers,
Chris

LOL ive done that but i have to buy a house before i totally fritter away the cash hence i am trying to juggle the figures somewhat. I totally plan on road trips but the majority will be in Europe as they have much better roads and speed limits. Not to mention less frikkin traffic ...
Yes that one does seem to have higher mileage but if the car ticks all the boxes i hope it does then i wont sell it for a long time.
Heres my thinking, ive got a 996 at the moment and as an allround car its fantastic. I can take it for a cain, it sounds beautiful and i can still put my moutain bike in the back. I want to do some more track events so i thought GT3 is ideal. Ok i might have to buy a roof rack for the bike
Keep an eye on gt3 prices generally i guess....

Ill ask here as no need to start a new thread but has anyone seen a 996 GT3 in white? I mean a non RS model. Like to see some pictures if anyone has some.

I paid even less than that one for mine. OK private sale but:-
1) It's a Club Sport
2) It has a/c
3) Less miles / fewer owners
So keep looking, they do come up occasionally
