I know its been covered before but ive had my wheels refurbished previously by both Lepsons and Spit and Polish (based in the South-east)without very good results.Anyone know of someone that will do a good job as the quality of the workmanship seems to vary so much from one job to another with the people i have tried.?

give Russell a call on 07889094263. Based in sittingbourne. has a massive sprinter van with an internal wheel spraying booth.

He is a friend and has done work for both myself and my business partner on various wheels in the past.

I had them all done by Lepsons originally a year ago and they now have very fine half inch scratch marks all around the outer lip of the wheel(looks like cracking)and there are some blotches on the wheels as well.I then kerbed one of the wheels and took it to Spit and polish and the finish is just awful, looks like it was painted with a can of Holts aerosol.I could take it back to be re-done however im not so sure that its worth it as im not sure they could do it any better.Hence im looking for a job to be done by somebody who is consistently good and can get the wheels to look as near to original as possible..at the moment they look refurbed.

i have had no real good results with any of these mobile people they are ok for doing a forecourt sale job that is being sold...but if its your own car then you want it better..

I use my local body shop to do my wheels and they come back amazing really shiney and properley baked paint in an oven.

costs me between £60-£100 per wheel depending on paint and damage to wheel...

Walked into dealer to finish deal on my wifes used Alfa a few years ago, we agreed to have the front wheels refurbed -to find man-in-van with wheels with tyres still on on Black and Decker workmate, using course grit sandpaper on block...eek

These guys are the best in the busines. Fantastic attention to detail. Generally, a set of wheels has 2 to 3 refurbs in them before they are scrap due to the ammount of material that is removed after each refurb. Diamond styling take great care to set up thier machines to remove the minium ammount of material possible. If you take your wheels there, you will almost certainly extend thier life because they will pobably get 4 refurbs out of them.

Beautiful work

BTW, the lathe they use to do the work on dates back to the 1920's and was originally installed in the Rolls-Royce works at Crewe -a real bit of automotive history!!

I am really surprised to hear the comments about Lepsons. Have you contacted them to complain? The wheels they have done for me in the past have been superb.
