After many years of marvellous motoring, me and my 911 are to part company, and a sad day it will be indeed. I need something a bit more practical and I can't bear the thought of having 2 cars as I do very few miles as it is (and we live Richmond - b*stards!). So I'm moving on to an Audi RS4 next month. So no more beautiful telepathic steering and no more of that roar from the PSE when I press the loud pedal. If anyone's interested - and I would far prefer that my p&j go to an enthusiast - then it's in the classifieds (www.pistonheads.com/sales/113619.h Not sure when I'll be back into the pork, but a 2yr old 997 turbo would definitely take my fancy. Many thanks to all for all your help and advice over the last few years.

Had a quickly driven one of these on this years megahoon trip. VERY quick and practical so yes a good choice. thumbup

Incidently I know that with the RS6, the Avant versions lose rear legroom space which may be a consideration if you are a tall driver. I would expect the same to be the case with the RS4, so worth checking if considering the Avant.
