You know the score on phoning the issuing bank, confirm they issued it, confirm the bankers draft will not be stopped/cancelled under any circumstances and get the name of the person your talking to. Tell them your selling your car for £x and relying on this clear.

I would then take it befe 4.45 to the bank and present it and ask the same questions again.
