There was a recent post on someone getting some superb prices on Pilot Sports from Costco. I haven't looked into it yet.

Costco regularly do low cost promotions on Michelin Tyres. The savings are huge. Its worth calling them and finding out when they next go on promotion. They supply and fit, by the way. You buy the tyres and take them round to fitting bays at the side of the building. Obviously you'll need a Costco card.thumbup

Sounds daft but Kwik Fit had an offer buy 4 and get 25% off. I bought 4 new PS's for my 996 C4S only cost me £690, about the same as Micheldever. Worth a try and I had no probs with them marking the rims either.

Actually while im on the subject of tyres i wonder if anybody could help???? i recently purchased a 986 boxster and the previous owner wasnt a petrolhead hence putting Avon tyres on the front and Dunlpos on the back. The problem i am having is in wet weather the car is very slippy even at low speeds the back end feels like it has no grip, a few people tell me its a neccesity to have 4 of the same tyre on the car, otherwise the car can act out of character. Does anybody else have any info on this matter???

regards Phil

yes, 4 matched tyres are, quite literally, the way forward. i would think it will transform the car for you.

I did the thread on Costco tyres. Four Michelin Pilots for the 944S2 fitted for £301 all inclusive. The best price I had from elsewhere was £438, which was cheaper than internet tyre dealers. The actual Costco price was £377, but they were doing 20% discount if you bought four at once, so it became £301. If they are not doing the offer now just ask them for it, as I'm sure they would like to sell four tyres in one go. If you don't ask you don't get.
