I was thinking about the yellow Supercharged 993 Cab as a fun car.I have no track intentions as I have 2 race cars so IT'S just a bit of road fun.

Any thoughts on this one?

I wouldn't.

Too much torque for the cab chassis and lack of rigidity. No mention of clutch upgrade - though may have just not mentioned it?

For me a 993 modified this much isn't a desirable car. A RUF or RS Tuning car based on the carrera or Turbo - yes please, but a cabriolet with a supercharger from an outfit more known for restoration then tuning? - no thanks.

To be fair the ebay ad does make decent reading but it's the 'concept' that would put me off.

What are you after? - is it the lack of roof you're after or a 993, both etc?

I would like more power from my 964 cab, but I wouldn't want to go the supercharging route, would rather slot the tt engine in, or much prefer just seriously tuning the N/A 3.6.

Hello,

I've had my sc'd 993 tip for over 5 years now. Done 45k miles and wouldn't be without it. Still everyone to their own.

BR, Mark.

Can I ask a question then of someone who has had it fitted long term.

If you push it really really hard, particularly round track, do you suffer from overheating at all, because I've been involved with a few supercharger conversions (not to Porsche's) and after a few hard laps the oil is boiling.

Serious question not trolling.

Nothing in particular,I have two race cars Juno and XTR2 so just after something for a bit of road use,top off is good for me,thought about 360Spy but do I need to spend 70k for 3000 miles a year motoring, thought the Porka was just a bit different.

Yep clutch is upgraded, the engine appears to have undergone alot of work, its a fully rebuilt unit with new crank, rods, pistons, polished ported and balanced etc, serious money.
