Ed965, 3.3 49K... someone got a bargain there. Condition? Did it need anything doing?
No totally concourse only downside was LHD, otherwise would have commanded £25k+, beautiful machine!
I sold my 91 turbo 2 LHD for £15k 3years ago

Bloody hell, someone got a serious bargain then.
There's a T2 now on PH with no history and recorded damage for 14k, would have thought you could have got good money, owt wrong with it??
Talking of 965's, why limit yourself to only 3.6's?
There is no doubt that in standard form, the 3.6 is better than the 3.3, but for this you pay a hefty premium c.40%!
For value a 3.3 is probably better, and many are already modded (eg. power hike, lowered, etc.)
Whichever model, these cars look and go beautiful...

If you don't mind LHD there is a very rare 3.6 turbo 'S' for sale. 1 of 13 I believe, not a flat nose, absolutely mint with I think 60,000 miles on the clock. It's Ferrari yellow with black leather interior. They were 408bhp standard. It has all the supporting documentation from Porsche etc. Serge has the car in France. Let me know if your interested. cheers graeme

Any for sale ?
There was a black 3.6 Turbo for sale recently in Autotrader for £42K. To my knowledge the service history was poor i.e.only one service in the last 7 years. £42k is top retail money for a low mileage 3.6. Gmundcars.com have sold two in the last 18 months. May be worth calling them.
I had a T2 965 a couple of years ago, nice looks but very unrefined ie mechcanical fuel injection & and very dated ecu/fueling system cold & warm starts can be a pain also very bad fuel return 10-14 mpg reguardless of how being driven I spoke to plenty of other owners and this was their findings as well.Worst of all was the throttle response it was very jerky and not smooth almost as though you had 4 positions this made the car hard to balance on and off the throttle through a series of bends for example. Also tuning wise the fuel/ecu system is not very precise and is the limiting factor, very expensive to upgrade the fueling system.I sold my T2 965 and bought a 993tt different class of car much much more sweet and refined to drive without losing the thrills, better fuel consumtion and a lovely precise trottle control and minimal turbo lag, better chasis too, just my veiws folks.Sold 993tt next up 996tt.

Tend to agree with all the above comments re the 965, very difficult vehicle to drive smoothly due to throttle response (on and off power)
