A buddy of mine is test driving the GT2 at Camtune this weekend. Does anyone know this cars history? We'll also be looking at the GT2 at Maranello's - same question?

Any advice (from a spec point of view) from current or previous GT2 owners would be appreciated.

Thanks

The car at Camtune is on SOR, allegedly a lady owner, price was dropped from £69 or £70K 3 about a month ago.
Maranello car ? can't help you I'm afraid.

Good luck

...allegedly a lady owner...

[rashsexistgeneralisation]Does anyone ever believe a girl as ever bought or regularly used a GT2? I always find this sort of thing quite amusing when people try to make out that such a focussed high performance car was owned and ran by a girl. silly [/rashsexistgeneralisation]

I've just read my above paragraph again and realised how completely genuinely sexist that statement is. I then thought I had perhaps worded it incorrectly, and did I mean something else? However I concluded I meant exactly what I'd written. If any girls own and drive a GT2 I would genuinely love to meet them...

the mk2 has more bhp, and some cosmetic changes including the option of some carbon fibre bits (these weren't always specified however)
I only mention it being a mark 1 as from the car reg it might appear that it's a mk2

I was just looking at the Marenello car this week, looked in very tidy condition
externally.

We were speaking to a lady this year who owned & drove a GT2 (from OPC Cambridge or Colchester if memory serves correct). We didn`t buy it due to the rather large difference between it`s purchase price and value today but yes, they do exist.

eh? do you mean....

We didn`t buy it as the owner couldn't accept the rather large difference between it`s purchase price and value today?

Nail hit firmly on head !
I've got the previous owners purchase invoice for my car ( he bought it from an OPC when it was two months old !) it makes salutory reading when you see what I paid for it ........

I'm pleased I'm wrong. I'm definitely not suggesting that they should not drive such cars - just I think very few choose to. They don't seem to "get" cars in quite the same way as us boys, so consequentially aren't as willing to put up with the compromises that come with them in return for the rewards on offer.

My (female) next-door neighbour in COlchester had a lovely looking Silver one. Presumably one and the same person. It struggled over the ramps though
