05 boxster drivers doors not opening from inside or out???

The drivers door started bouncing back when shutting the other day. It would stay on the catch and the window would go up then down as the door hadnt shut. The door itself dosn't seem to be moving on the hinges but once the door was lifted (with the car) the door shut. Drove to work this morning, got in the car park and was unable to open the door from the inside, put the window down and tryed the outside handle and nothing. pressed the button on the key fob to lock/open the car a few times and it opened. Anyone had a similar fault??

I had something similar last week. I shut the door and it bounced back. I noticed that the window had not gone down when lifting the door handle as usual and was catching the roof. As you did I used the remote to lock, unlock the car which appeared to 'reset' everything and it was fine afterwards.

It hasn't done it since.

did go out at lunch time and sprayed a bit of release oil into the mechanism. Closed/opened it a few times and it appeared fine. time will tell

Why dont you spray it orange put a general lee on the roof, take out the glass and get in and out though the windows. You can bet you would be the only person in the country with a dukes of hazard Porsche!
