Hi All

I dropped my car off at Hartech yesterday and met some of the team, very nice chaps. If you hadnt read my previous posts after much dilemma I have decided to go for this warranty option as my car is now coming up to nine years old 996 (98).

I live in Surrey left home at 5am (OMG thats early) dropped the car off in Bolton and was home by 3 on the train. Will pick it up again next week end. Ill keep you posted as Im sure other older 996 owners will be interested in the Hartech Warranty option.

Cheers

I thought I'd lost the plot taking my 928 all the way from Surrey to Paul Anderson in Stroud for servicing but you beat me hands down.

Comes with the Porsche territory I'm afraid and Baz's set up does inspire confidence. Nice to drive up there in the porker as well I shouldnt wonder.

Call that a journey. I bought my 944 cabby from Hartech and I will have it serviced there.
By the way I live in Ireland, only a hop and a skip away

The warranty plan Hartech do does sound tempting, but the distance put me of and I live in Birmingham which must be a good 100-130 miles closer than you. Its not the travelling more the time to get there and back. Good luck with it anyway, might be worth the trip I hear they are very good.

Paul Anderson is the king of 928's based in stroud he looks after them just about exclusively. His contact details are on 928spares.co.uk

Hartech Deal looks good, although I haven't looked into prices and queried if it's worth it for cars doing fewer than 6000 miles a year. Let us all know how you get on because there's nothing I like more than a lond drive to get the car serviced!!

Will do! Good thing I have a friend who lives in leeds for over night accomodation and beers!

OK all done coil packs and a couple of other bits needed fixing and 4 wheels alignment. Very good value all in and now on the scheme!!

Some bits wont be covered as they have been identified as starting to be on their way out but nothing major just little bits and pieces.

Extreme peace of mind... Very Happy 996 owner.

Many Thanks to Baz and the boys

Hi all

Ok got back today with my lovely car all fixed up by the Htech boys and with a very nice GT3 front end to match the skirts.

I have now signed up to the scheme and am a very happy camper.

Highly recomended to all.

P.S.
Anyone looking for a body work shop in Bolton area I can reccomend H. Samsons, they picked up my car from Hartech on Wednesday checked that the bumper they had would fit on my car, then called me and had it all sprayed cleaned and polished for collection saturday morning... absolute stars and the price was spectacular!

Cheers

Hi mate

The service and repairs including a 4 wheel laser alignment, four coil packs a new belt and some other bits and pieces all came to £710 inc vat (48k major service). This included a report detailing what will need doing short, medium and long term.

The LMP scheme is changing price for the new year and is mileage dependant but I am signed up for 6000 miles and so it £50.00 plus vat per month.

The GT3 front end was an ebay bargain at £150.00 and the chaps collected fitted sprayed etc for £300.00

All in all a very happy camper
