Anyone know the LHD GT3 at Charles Ivey?
Discussion
Hi guys,
Just sold my 993 turbo to get something a bit more track orientated. I've seen a LHD GT3 at Charles Ivey in London, does anyone know anything about it? History, spec etc..
Here's the link although it doesn't help much

Thanks.

The GT3 on eBay: was it a German registered car? If it was and the one I'm going to look at has been in the UK for a while then I can rule it out.
Any suggestions for someone to do an inspection?
I'd like to take it to Parr as they know their GT3s.
(I've posted the same thread on 911uk)

Parr or JZM - both know GT3s well.
But some haven't liked what they've had in terms of PPI from these...guess they have some interest in you acquiring a car at the end of the day.
Get the PPI done for the normal things and ask for a print out report from the system diagnostic tool. Check the Rev Range 2 entries (over the red line revs) for some objective info. on what sort of life it has had.
Cheers
Ajit.

Pretty sure it was a UK registered car....the owner was british anyway. Chap called Richard.
With regard to the brakes, I know a lot of GT3 owners have upgraded their brakes to 350mm(?) at the front. Short of getting my tape measure out is there any visual way of checking what brakes it has?
I'm going to go and look at it tomorrow morning so I will probably another rodzen questions or so tomorrow evening

Check for either the later six pot MK2 calipers or 10mm spacers under the caliper mounts.
went to see the Ivey one on NYE. They were closed of course but i could see it through the window!
Gonna try and get down there next week if poss. Not sure on LHD though, despite having an e30 m3 for track use, its sometimes a pain to have a road car in LHD.
mk1 GT3's seem pretty rare on the classifieds side currently?!
cheers

They always will be rare, what with only just over 100 rhd in the country and many of 'em keepers
I thought that there'd been more for sale recently than expected for the time of year
