I've heard of these conversions for the 993. I was wondering what you all think of them. I wonder how a lightened C2 (carbon buckets, no junk) with a blower would compare to a 993tt. I like the idea that it would look very stealth. Plus the despoilered sillouette looks sexy. A cheaper and more fun option? Any ideas on price and bhp 9m?...

Roadrunner, where have you been? Have you bought a car yet?

Hi turbofree,

No, I'm still in central london! I AM moving out this summer though. I'll be getting a used car at the last minute. Maybe a 911, or maybe something else a bit more raw. Still checking out the options. I fancy that grey T2 in autoclassica - pretty cheap. Mind you, I'd miss the lines of a 993.

How's the tt running?

Very good, no problems to report although to be honest I haven't used it much recently. We are meeting up on Sunday, do you fancy coming along?

No can do, I'm afraid. I've got a busy one this weekend. I'll take a rain cheque on blagging your passenger seat for the next one though.

What the hell have you been doing, other than driving the tt. I'd be living and sleeping in it if it were mine!

Roadrunner,
Ted and the boys do not like me talking prices on the forum so take a peek at our site and you can get the price from there.

The kit is remarkably effective on the 993, you can expect 310-320bhp at the wheels or 340-350 at the flywheel, torque around 430-440Nm at peak and 390Nm at 2000rpm. We have a few ot there on the 993 and they suit the engine really well, bit deceptive to drive though as the car is so smooooth in its power delivery the bends tend to sneak up on you at an alarming rate.
