Can you give me your preferences for type of seats. I understand most desirable are the buckets and they cost more, but me being me prefer the all leather sport seats ( more normal looking if you get my drift).

Am I missing the point, in that the GT3 being what it is is best with buckets and / or a cage at the all important resale time

Quick answers please

thanks

IMO the bucket seats MAKE the car - if you can, drive one with them and one without and you'll see what I mean when you take on some twisties with a bit of pace

I always liked the look of the GT3 comfort leather buckets but have never tried them.

I drove Nerv's GT3 clubsport with nomex buckets. possibly the best ever car seats I have ever sat and driven in. Perfect

Richard, you know what I have in mine, hence my tarty image elsewhere. The buckets are fantastic when you are nailing it, either on the twisties or round a track. If you are going to do most mileage like that go for the buckets, otherwise haggle a deduct for the car not having them. Probably best like the others say to try both.

yes

If the car is to be used for mainly road use, go with the comfort seats, they're more comfortable and take the harshness out of the ride on longer journeys.
If you intend tracking the car frequently the buckets are the only way to go

I would say mainly road, but I do intend to do a little track hopefully.

buckets all day, the only way to appreciate the car and its suspension, if you don't like the buckets then the 3 is not for you, get a C4s or standard carrera or a turbo!

Got to be the buckets for me. I have the leather versions in my Mk2 and I would never swap them for normal or sports seats.

Buckets --- and the comfort version buckets are very comfortable.
In fact, much more comforatable than CSL seats which looked gret but the BMW designers had obviously never used.
Buckets v Sport seats ? Simple. When you fall out of the sports seats you'll wish you had chosen Buckets !
