I have signed this petition and encouraged all my friends to do so as well.

I have also written to my MP with regard to the proposals to allow EC countries to cause UK drivers to receive points (Or worse) for offences committed abroad. It is reasonable to be punished for an offence committed in the country concerned but not to receive a double punishment by suffering penalties at home as well.

We could loose our UK licenses for some offense in France but you can be sure that this would not happen to a French person committing a similar offense in the UK !!!

Let's kick up a stink now, before it is too late.

Road charging proposals ?

Seems to me to be nothing more than an attempt to impose a furthur stealth tax on the motoring public of this country plus the more sisnister aspect of monitoring peoples movements.

Do people realise the implications of having a "little black box" installed in each and every road using vehicle, e.g. what time you leave, where you go, the speed you travel at etc. etc. etc.?
