They are a Porsche option - literally just "finishers" - actual exhaust system is identical.

they just "fit" on the end - i.e. you can still see the single pipe if you look down the two holes.

Its only the end caps, easily changed. The ovals are the originals and the twin rounds are aftermarket.

...as above. It is just the tips that are different, the rest of the system is the same. Just a cosmetic option. The ovals are std and the twin is the techquipment option (not necessary retro fitted).

I 'think' the twin tailpipes were standard on the MkII 996 GT2?

Now, here's the real question - which looks better ?

Single pipe; no question.

Single was standard on both Mk1 & Mk2

Double is for gay Turbo drivers.

If you're going to drive a GT2, don't ponce the exhaust up. smash

I'm guessing the Turbo drivers didn't get this far down the thread

Prefer the single pipe

Thats whats on mine, think the doubles are for people confused about their sexuality

quad pipes on my turbo after I installed the 450hp upgrade kit. They are OEM quad pipes and look alot better IMO than tne large ovals I had before but this is on a 993tt not a 996tt

I debated changing my singles to doubles on my 996TT a while ago, but came to the conclusion (IMO) that the singles look better.
