Are PCGB events run as exclusive Porsche events? How much is membership if not?

£60 or so.

Not exclusively Porsche. But there aren't many non-Porsche cars there. I reckon Steve would probably have to change that policy if there was a large influx of Caterhams etc but I have seen TVRs, Ultimas, a couple of Atoms etc over the years.

That's a big calendar this year! Time was I used to go to most of 'em. Now I'll be picking and choosing...

Apparently we have less participants at these events, but prices still seem comparitively toppish to me,,,,,very well run though and a great introduction to trackdays.

I am a club member, but never done a track day!

Can anyone let me know which venue will give me the best introduction and hopefully get me hooked?

I am in the Ascot/Windsor area for a start...

Bcensoredy hell, Donny in april/oct, which wet day would you like. Do PCGB have shares in Goodwood/Castle Combe, not much cop for us up north

Quite agree. I see they've granted us the one week day trip to Oulton again! irked

It's not worth bothering with the Donny dates when you can get them directly with Donny's own trackday company for £139, at a weekend and in the height of the summer!

I was on a couple of PCGB trackdays last year. They are well organised and the standard of driving is generally very good. Also, since your Porsche will not be in the minority, you avoid the "I'm going to take a Porsche scalp" attitude you get on other track days where the rif raf are aloud in.

However, when all is said and done this years prices are very steep. For these prices I would expect to be "serviced" by a bevy of pit girls in between laps.

Johnny, probably look at the Oct one,,,I am sure we will catch up on track before then though mate.

Paul, Plenty of northern trackdays, that Bedford is at least 1-1/2 hours north of London

could be tempted by the castle combe one... whats with the 2 prices?

You say you have to pay 60 quid to join PCGB first? any other benifits, otherwise its an expensive track day!

Yes, fancied Bedford, you'll have to show me the way round though, do you do any Brands (non PCGB) in summer?, it would be nice to get a few 993RS's on track at once

Paul, definitely up for Brands in the summer....15 mins from where I live,,,,,often pick up a cheap last minute deal...more than happy to show you round, then vaguely follow in the distance once you have got the layout down

PCGB days aren't the cheapest. For £60 you get a monthly magazine which is OK. Articles are OK but its valuable for the ads. There are days out/monthly meets all that sort of thing - which I don't give a stuff about. Its the "club within a club" that does track days that I like.

If you would only do one track day its really not worth it. Join up and do a few!
