Wanted: Black 996TT
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm in the market for a 996TT. Criteria is Manual, Black with Black leather, and PCM2. Other than that am open. Looking upto late £50s.
Have looked in all the usual places but so far no good. If anyone has any recommendations I'd love to here of them. Being a pauper I'm looking for a P/X deal, so I guess a private sale is a non-starter, unless p/x & finance can be arranged.
Cheers

Try sticking a wanted advert in the PH classifieds.

Good luck with the search.

Sounds good but no Sat Nav.
How about these:

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I've placed an advert in the wanted forum. (cheers Dazren)
I've taken a look at the others (thanks all for the info/links) - that one for sale on this site looked ideal but the guy doesn't want a px (isn't a trader). I'm also just a bit concerned about the lack of satnav and future resale (I've had this problem on 2 previous cars so my last 3 cars have had satnav). Would be interested to hear from anyone that has sold a TT regarding what the stealers have said regarding lack of satnav on a turbo? (it sounds ridiculous doesn't it). (The car does seem a bit cheap to me!).
Thanks for the links to the other sites, I'm busy registering my interest with a fair few of them.
Looking forward to joining you fellow TT lads (had a C2 a few years ago which I adored). Anything would be better than the snail-like SL350 I cant wait to jump out of...

can someone just confirm - PCM2 was not available on a 52 car?
Hang on. PCM2 was fitted to 2003 MY cars. ie cars built from late August 02 onwards.
52 plate relates to cars registerred after 1st sept 02.
From this I'd guess very early 52 car may have PCM 1 but the majority of 52 plate cars would have PCM2?

Agreed - 52 plates have PCM2 generally

That one at Arun Cars (in the link above) is an early 52 plate and has PCM1. If it had PCM2 it might well have had a new owner by now

Is it possible to retro-fit PCM2? If so you could certainly haggle over the price.
C.
Nope as it uses a different BUS to PCM1 based cars.
Any other satnav on the market is better than the one in the porcas though.

i had a look at this one in the flesh - is a very genuine car but was a few k out of my price bracket and the guys had already reduced it so wouldn't move further.
It needed a service, some paint at the front end, new low tone horn and a very minor windscreen repair. Tyres were 'fair', all of which i expect arun would have sorted were i to pay the full 50k
generally v nice chaps all round though. I'm still looking for similar up to mid forties.
cheers
