Hello,

I am just in the middle of changing my speakers in my 964. The front speakers wasn't a problem as they are a standard size, but the rear speakers are 6x4. I wanted to fit some speakers that had some bass and depth as the standard size are a bit crap.

I went to a stereo shop today and the bloke told me to fit 6x9, so I have bought them. I need to do some cutting but thought, will they look crap, and will I look like a chav?

Has anyone got any ideas. I was going to buy some 6" round speakers but they don't cover the marks in the shelve, so that would mean re-trimming them.

Thanks
Ian

You can buy good quality 6x4 speakers purely IMO 6x9 will look a bit chavvy, rather 1990 Nova SRI as opposed to 964 lol!

Good sound though.

You could buy the ungraded Hifi ones from Gert. I have these as part of the Hifi pack, though tbh the rear's sound pretty duff. I bought another shelf in the same colour from ebay to hack about..
