Id like to upgrade the brakes on my 3.2
Big reds look good.

Has anyone experience of upgrading to these ?
Bolt on, or are adaptors needed.
New discs etc ?
Its all in preparation for an capacity increase next year.

Any thoughts appreciated

Hi Stuttgart!

I've changed my rear discs + shoes + pads on the 930 that look rather similar to that kit, it's pretty straightforward I think. The 930 also has spacers (10-15mm IIRC) for the back wheels interestingly. The fronts are easy if you have a puller (and space to use it) to pop out the dust covers.

PM me if you fancy a look-see/photo-shoot at how the 930 brakes are put together, Pelican Parts articles also have some good resources - deffo check them out.

Check the Fuchs alloys still fit mate with the "big reds", i'm sure i've read an article in one of the mags that all fuch alloys don't fit, not sure about 16" 930 turbo variants, is your 3.2 wearing these?

I put Boxster calipers, 944T discs & a set of cooling ducts on the front of my 3.2 Club Sport + pagid blues & braided hoses all round with Castrol SRF. Very good combo.

If I were you I'd ask on www.impactbumbers.com

Also, check that you have the larger / later master cylinder before fitting bigger calipers, or you could have problems.

Fuch wise, its wearing 16 inch 6 and 7 J's, Ive got a set of 7's and 8's ready for refurb that are going on later this year. Im keeping both sets, they're too good to sell.
Pretty sure I have the large capacity reservoir.
I heard that Turbo tie rods are also a good upgrade, make the car far more pointy.
Mick Clare at Paragon advised that on Saturday.

Turbo tie rods are a good idea, i had them on my SC few years ago, steering was a lot more precise albeit if you are not doing track days i probably wouldn't bother.
