looking at buying a 2 year old 997 for early £50`s, but it appears that on most I would be the 4th/5th owner.

This worries me a little because when selling most people are put off by the amount of owners, and always pay less for a high owner car. Is this the same for porkers??

Wouldn`t bother me to be honest - I was the 5th owner on my first Boxster - mileage was low and had all the right stamps. Car was a dream.

Dont bother too much about owners! spec and mileage are the main thing, I'm on my second 997S in 13 months, quite common for people to change! 2 or 3 owners on a 54 or 05 is not too uncommon, any more i'd steer clear

also do most people tend to finance with a balloon over a given term on these?

I`ve got £25k cash to put down then will have to finance the rest, is this what most folk do?

Might be because the previous owners pretty soon felt the need to upgrade to an S. I'd consider that before paying over 50k for a non-S

I'd do that as a minimum! try for at least 50 deposit, i used to pay just the interest then large balloon, but on latest car decided to pay some capital back as well, that way youre kinda keeping in tandem with the depreciation etc. I dont know anyone whom has actually paid the final balloon! always traded in ....
