While having my wheels balanced this afternoon I had a little chat with the owner of a brand new GT3 mk2 who was getting new tyres fitted (some sort of semi slicks).
He told me he had ordered it 9 months ago and had just been driving it back from the Riviera where it was delivered.

He went for the Club Sport version including non-leather bucket seats and the roll cage.
As the wheels were off the car I had the opportunity to have a close look at the ceramic brakes only to figure out his yellow rear calipers were larger than my fronts !

Anyway, just to tell you that the new rear wing and the new specific GT3 wheels look miles better than the older ones.
Re the "is it necessary to run it in" thread he said he had done 3000 relaxed kms (1,800 miles) and reckoned it was about time to thrash it a bit.

Glad to hear it, Thom; I initially thought the photos made it look less than inspiring...

Whatever; it remains a truly fabulous thing...

Isn't it time you bade 'au revoir' to the old 944?

Salut Beaver,

Completely silver avec du black à l'inside - just like la tienne.

edited :
I have just remembered what the chap told me about the ceramic brakes : although they do not seem to brake harder than older normal GT3 brakes there is no more fading at all.
