which 911??????
Discussion
hi guys (new member take it easy!)
after selling my beloved lotus last year i am now starting to look for a 911.as i have not had any experiance with porsche i very much need your help!!
As this car is not my everyday car i cannot afford to pay a fortune approx 25-30k but would like a decent motor.i will not be doing any high mileage and car will be always garaged.
i have taken advise from all sorts of people but they are full of buts and maybes, i need facts before it does my head in!
can you give me advise on 996, i have been told that early examples had number 5 piston problems and would result in new engine etc but should be alright on cars 2000 and over?
also am i better looking for older car with low milage e.g 50,000miles or paying the same for newer car with say 80,000miles?
does mileage affect the resale of the car as in past experiance with ordinary cars , vehicles with 80 -90,000miles you cannot give them away
i would really appreciate any advise you can give me on the subject, MANY THANKS!!!!!!!i owe you a pint

Get a nice 993/3.6 996, early 996's okay but get an OPC warrenty just in case, 10k-12k for new motor replacement
Or get a 993 C2S or C4S, would have thought you could get a nice LHD one for that money.
In terms of mileage forget it as long as it has good history better buying on condition.
