I'm sure some of you'll have noticed, MT Performance have a GT2 on their stock (02 reg with 18k, Basalt, comfort spec) for £69k for a couple of months. In light of Paragon's recently sold black GT2 with clubsport spec at £64k (which seemed really good value), it would seem MT lost their minds and have suddenly upped the asking to £85k!!

Don't expect the car to fly out of their forecourt anytime soon...

Is it me or have GT2s gone up? I thought early GT2s were around the low-mid £50k mark a couple of years ago - or did I just imagine that?

Check out the latest ad www.pistonheads.com/sales/111833.htm

It seems to have had a little performance enhancement work done, Headers, Exhaust, Hybrid Turbo's, Re-Map etc. obviously around £15k's worth. confused

It seems to have been around a while, they have also recently taken out the Nomex Clubsport Seats and changed them for Comfort Model Seats from an Arctic Silver Car (ref Coloured Seat Backs). If this car was only in Basalt Black and not standard Gloss Black I would have considered it myself.

I'm rather hoping this is the start of 996 GT2 prices on the rise...

Mmm. Must have been wishing they were low-mid 50k a few years ago.

Found a nice looking 52 plate 11k miles one on 'trader for £55k in black. What must they have paid trade for that? Barry Brown (?) who appears to be a Range Rover indie has it up for sale.

This car has had a front end bump, new panels etc. and according to their own salesman requires a little tidying due to overspray etc. confused

You get what you pay for I suppose.
