Does anyone have anything to say about this car and/or dealer?

I went there after a hoon around lincoln with some fellow ph'ers. Seemed to be nice little set up and the owner seemed knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The car looks good and well priced.

only 30bhp maybe, but don't X50s make 500lbft compared with 420? BHP is bogus on something relatively with a low revving.

911sport is my local independant specialist, they where mainly specialist fixers and I only found them through a recommendation when the OPC was trying to shaft me for 4 grand.

they fixed the small problem I had for a couple of hundred quid and unlike the OPC, they knew what the problem was, and fixed it rather than trying to have me replace half my car, so i started to use them as a second opinion if anything went wrong then after getting to know them over the months I just sent it to them if anything needed doing and they do a great job.

they have always sold cars but used to be more focussed on the service side, now they have their new building with a plush showroom they are pushing the sales side more aswell as the mechanics side.

They also sold my Ducati for me before christmas, it was there for 2 days, everything went smoothly and professionally.

as darren says I cant reccomend them enough, I know SimonHarrod on here has bought several cars through them including his current GT2, I would not hessitate to buy a car from them, they are not just retailers, they know their stuff about the cars to and work on them daily, I think thats the BIG plus for me, you aint just buying a car of somone shifting units, they do know their stuff.

as for the silver X50, I have seen it, it looks nice but ive also been trying NOT to look at it, if you know what I mean, the wife will hang me if I came home in that.. .. .. .. .. .. ..

Thanks. Very interesting. They have actually contacted me about my tt that's advertised here so I was thinking it might be possible to strike a bit of a deal.

The major problem with their car is that (IMO) dreadful silver, but I guess coupled with the lack of PCM makes it just a couple of boxes too few. Of course, the PCM "problem" is completely a dealer created non-issue. Not totally sure about that aerokit...

Its a real catch 22, your current TT is one of the best colours, dark, but not to dark.. Silver is just to common IMO, as for aerokits, personally I hate them on the TT, it looks as though the front was a 'snap on' kit from a kinder egg .. Mind you X50 is X50, I imagine alot of TT owners want it, not much extra for £5kish over normal TT's, I think standard is 457lbs (from porsche) but people here have seen closer to 480+, best bit is they're warranted, which IMO is the cream on the cake...

If you can live with all this then jump at it as X50's will be the sought after models in the 'grab a cheap supercar' run this year...

I just wish mine would sell so I could jump on the band-wagon

Eh? Why is this? I would not really be after a TT w/o PCM2 as I think it makes the dash look so much better, and the nav works well and is integrated (I don't care if the TomTom 9100xsi is technically superior), and it works all the stereo controls etc. Plus it is harder to find a TT without it IMHO - it was the only significant ommission from the later cars full standard spec.

Agree with the boring silver though.

hmm I would estimate the X50 premium at more like £2k

You reckon !?

Due to the rarity of X50's I think you'll find that £2k isnt the norm.

Only my opinion, but based on watching values for the last year or so
